Rare interviews with Air Chief Marshal Lord Hugh Caswall Tremenheere Dowding; Air Chief Marshal Sir Keith Rodney Park; Ginger Lacey and Dizzy Allen.  The Spitfire documentary from 1987.

Further interviews with Hugh Lawrence Parry who flew Spitfires during the siege of Malta and his experiences as a prisoner of war.  Leslie Walter Harvey who describes his experiences of flying during the Battle of Britain and North Africa.  Boleslaw Henryk Drobinski, a Polish pilot who recounts his experiences of escaping Poland and France and then flying Spitfires during the Battle of Britain and throughout the War.

Ronald 'Ras Berry was amongst the first RAF pilots to fly the Spitfire in service and combat, his recollections are fascinating.  First hand account of flying the Supermarine S5, S6a and S6b as part of the High Speed Flight and Schneider Trophy teams.  Walter Gastav Krupinski provides his viewpoint as a pilot in the Luftwaffe and his opinion of the Spitfire.  Nigel Rose served during the Battle of Britain and North Africa as a pilot flying the Spitfire.  Arthur Thompson as an electrician with Supermarine witnessed the first flight of the Spitfire at Eastleigh and the German bombing of the factory in Southampton.  Desmond Frederick Burt Sheen as an Australian pilot flew the first Spitfire photographic reconnaissance missions and also flew in combat.
